Capsular Contracture Treatment
Elimination of hardening and shape deformities occurring after breast implantation.
Capsular contracture is a complication that can rarely be seen after breast implant applications. The body perceives the implant as a foreign object and creates a tissue called a capsule around it. If this capsule hardens, deformation and discomfort may occur in the breast tissue.
Capsular contracture can be seen in different degrees. While there is only a feeling of stiffness in mild cases, pain and obvious deformation of the breast may occur in advanced cases. Therefore, early diagnosis and correct treatment are of great importance.
The treatment plan is determined by the degree of capsular contracture. In some cases, medical follow-up may be sufficient, while in advanced cases, surgical intervention may be required. In surgical treatment, the hardened capsule tissue is removed.
If deemed necessary, the existing implant can be replaced or placed in a different plan. The goal is to restore the natural softness and aesthetic appearance of the breast.
Capsular contracture treatment offers successful results when applied by experienced surgeons. Correct surgical technique and appropriate implant selection reduce the risk of recurrence.
